As a child, I took both piano and guitar lessons. But I didn’t really enjoy practicing all that much. I would rather engage in dirt clod fights with the neighborhood kids than tickle the ivories or pluck the strings. Silly me. Of course now I regret such childish activities. I often imagine where I might be musically had I chosen instruments over dirt. But I digress.

Artists like Tangerine Dream, John Carpenter, Vangelis, Wendy Carlos, Art of Noise, Perturbator and Doubting Thomas have inspired me for years. That inspiration has given birth to the music moniker SCAREDY-CAT (an offshoot of Cat Scare Films). SCAREDY-CAT creates music that mixes synth sounds with dialogue samples (usually from cult cinema).
